Indian kings took for fun due to their life history, for instance, symbol of peace Emperor Ashok once used referred as brutal Ashok because of his acts against his brothers, Maharaja of Jaipur once bought 7 Rolls-Royce as garbage vehicles, Amazing wealth of Nizam of Hyderabad & From king founded Kung Fu to kinkiest kings but there were many more incidents like these.
1. Interestingly a Pallava dynasty prince, Bodhi dharma went to China to start his physical training with Shaolin monks which was later known as Kung Fu.
2. Facts that Ashok is known for peacekeeping in today’s time, but before he was known by many names such as devanampiya, devana piya dasi, and also Chandal Ashok, which means brutal “Brutal Ashoka”. He acquired this name because of his brutality shown against his brothers. He killed all his 99 brothers except for the last one Tissa, whom he made his deputy king.

Since he was dressed casual and didn’t have his guards around, the salesperson took him to be an Indian ordinary citizen and disregarded his solicitations for a test drive. Later he purchased 7 distinct Rolls Royce cars and delivered them to his palace in India for garbage vehicle. Not long after the request, this episode came as a major blow for Rolls-Royce and became worldwide news.
9. Maharaja Rajinder Singh of the princely state of Patiala (25 May 1872 –8 November 1900). The Maharaja has total of 365 wives when he died at age of 27.

In the year 1901 Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II of Jaipur ordered to create two huge sterling silver vessels so that he could carry Ganga Jal(holy water of river Ganges) along with him on his trip to England. The incredibly huge utensil was made from 14,000 melted silver coins without soldering. Each vessel’s holding capacity is about 4000 litres and weight about 350kg(740lbs) it still holds Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s largest sterling silver vessels.
11. Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of state of Patiala was one of the most decorated and record holder king of India:
– He was the first person in India to have automobile 1892 imported from France.
– The first person in India to bought an aircraft before 1910 from the United Kingdom.
– Built the highest cricket ground in the world, Chail, Himachal Pradesh in 1893.
– Built first monorail in India at Patiala.
– Donated the Ranji Trophy, named after Maharaja Ranjitsinhji of Nawanagar.
– Amazingly he founded State Bank of Patiala in 1917, which merged in State Bank of India in 2017.
– He was equally colourful in his sex life, married 5 times and had numerous consorts. From those relations, he was the father to an estimated 88 children.
12. The Wodeyar family of Mysore took over the Mysore Empire after killing its king. The queen managed to escape but was later caught by the Wodeyars. The queen committed suicide but before dying, she cursed the Wodeyars of an heirless future. Her statue was installed by the Wodeyars and is still pray to this in the Mysore palace. Facts the last Wodeyar heir Srikantadatta died leaving without any heir to the throne. Curse of the queen!
